Could the Muppets host the Academy Awards this year?

Nothing official yet, but it’s been reported that Eddie Murphy dropped out of his hosting duties, and now there’s quite a huge following to get The Muppets to do it!

Seeing as how the title of this blog comes from the Muppets’ “The Rainbow Connection,” I had to post this article. That being said, check out “The Rainbow Connection” performed by Weezer (feat. Haley Williams). They’ve definitely done my favorite song justice. The other tracks are great, too. I particularly enjoyed OK Go’s take on the “Muppet Show Theme Song.” Funky. :)

The Rainbow Connection, as sung by Kermit the Frog in The Muppet Movie.  This is where the title of this tumblr comes from, and is, in my opinion, the best song ever written.  So many truths are sung so sweetly by the diminutive, yet commanding felt amphibian, Mr. the Frog.  

I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it.
It’s something that I’m supposed to be.

These lyrics just resonate with me. I guess I just have to listen a little bit closer in order to find my fellow lovers and dreamers, and the Rainbow Connection.
